A WebMCP-capable external agent can discover structured Split tools instead of guessing at buttons. Tool calls update the same T1–T4 state the human sees.
- 1Agent reads the visible left and right panes.
- 2Agent opens a safe URL in a selected pane.
- 3Split updates immediately and records agent provenance.
- 4Human continues browsing, notes, or bookmarking.
WebMCP is feature-detected. Without it, Split remains a complete human-controlled dual browser.
